That's My Girl is the third and final single by Fifth Harmony included in their second studio album, 7/27, which debuted on May 27, 2016. A remixes EP was released to digital retailers in December 2016. The music video for the song was released the same day the single was released, September 19, 2016.

The song was certified Gold by RIAA on May 8, 2017

Background

The song was written by Tinashe, during an opening show for Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour. The song was originally titled "She's My Girl" and was cited by Lauren Jauregui during an interview with Spin.

That's My Girl was originally released as a part of 7/27 (released before the song was announced as a single) and later released as a single on September 19, 2016. It hit the contemporary hit radio on September 27, 2016.

A snippet of the track was used for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games USA commercial.

The group performed the song for the first time on television at the American Music Awards on November 20, 2016 with a "post-apocalyptic" set.According to Billboard, it was the fourth best performance of the night.

This was the last single Fifth Harmony released before the departure of Camila Cabello on December 18, 2016.

Music Video

The music video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis and was released on September 19, 2016. It was filmed in a Californian desert. The video was noted to be influenced by the movie, Mad Max, in the video conception.
