“Sauced Up” is the third track from Fifth Harmony’s third album, written by Ally and Lauren. As the title suggest, the lyrics speak of a night out and letting loose in the club. The girls first performed this song live at Urban Outfitters on August, 25, 2017
Ally: It’s one of my favorites because it’s the one where we have our fun little characters on, and we’re confident in our attitudes. We're saying, "I know what I want. Tonight I’m going to have fun." I think the lyric Lauren sings is, "I know you’re trying to get to me, I’m fluid in the bro-code," which translates to, "I know what you want, but no, I’m here to have a good time."[1]
Dinah: It actually reminds me of “Party” by Beyoncé. It gives you that vibe — we like to party.[2]
Normani: There’s going to be a bunch that’ll make you want to dance to in the club. Some that are sneakily that way too. “Sauced Up” is definitely one of them. It’s quite the title, but it’s basically a night out in one song.[3]
