Simon Phillip Cowell (Born October 7, 1959) is an English A&R exective, television producer, entrepreneur, and television personality. He is known in the United Kingdom and United States for his role as a talent judge on TV shows such as Pop Idol, The X-Factor, Britains Got Talent and American Idol. He is also the owner of the television production and music publishing house Syco. Simon was also the mentor of Fifth Harmony. Simon is widely known for discovering One Direction and Cher Lloyd. He has recently signed Fifth Harmony to Syco Music, the same record label that the famous British-Irish Boy-Band One Direction is signed to.
