HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello & Dinah Jane Hansen all originally auditioned for The X Factor as solo artists, coming from different states around the USA. They all made it through to bootcamp, but were later eliminated. The judges didn't want to lose all of their talent, so they decided to bring them back into the competition by making them into a group, that's how Fifth Harmony was created, originally with the name LYLAS and later 1432. Ever since then, they have been performing great songs and dances on The X Factor stage. They ended up in third place on the show. They're signed to Syco Music and Epic Records. Their debut single of their EP Better Together was called Miss Movin' On was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over half a million digital downloads. All of their singles released of their debut album Reflection, BO$$, Sledgehammer and Worth It feat. Kid Ink, were certified Platinum by the RIAA. "Work From Home" is the first single of their second album and currently the group's first top 5 hit, after peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Music had always been a huge part of me but I never had the means to do anything about it," she says. By the time Lauren was 16, The X Factor had debuted. "I ended up trying out because I wanted Simon's approval. It had been my dream to sing for Simon and for him to tell me I was good."" (Read More)
